A day after 2 British troops were killed by a “fellow“ rogue Afghan police officer in Afghanistan, four more American soldiers and an Afghan police officer have been killed in southern Afghanistan, on Sunday 09/16/2012, following an attack suspected to a Green-on-Blue NATO's military mission in that country said.

The attack took place in the Mizan district of Zabul province, and was carried out by several Afghan men dressed in police uniforms, the deputy governor's office told reporters.

At least five Afghan policemen reportedly fled the base after the attack, which took place at the district headquarters, Al Jazeera's Bernard Smith reported from Kabul. It was unclear if the police officer who was killed was one of the attackers, Smith said.

At least 51 foreign military personnel have been killed in Gren-on-Blue attacks, where men dressed as members of the Afghan security forces have attacked foreign forces, in Afghanistan this year (see - Afghan-Trend).
