US ATTACKED IN SOMALIA
 Before dawn, on Monday 01/08/2007, the first time during the Ethiopian - Somali War, an American aircraft gunship c-130 attacked south Somalia - a place to be considered as a hiding place for top Al Qaeda fugitives. 27 people were killed. It is not known who they were.
Another attack, by USA helicopter gunships occurred on the night of 01/09/2007. The attack targeted the most wanted terrorist in East Africa Fazul Abdullah Mohammed but failed to kill him. According to some sources more than 100 civilians were killed.
