Roubaix is a small French town of about 100,000 inhabitants in Northern France near Lille, and close to the border with Belgium.
Roubaix gang was a group of Muslims, mainly from North African descent, some of them veterans from Afghanistan but most of them knew each other while fighting with the Muslim Forces in Bosnia in the early 90sí. The uniqueness of the group is that its leaders were mostly converts. The group, led by Christopher Caze, a fellow comrade and close friend of Lionel Dumont, which was primarily a crime gang, included also members like Ahmed Ressam, Abdallah Ouzghar and Fateh Kamel, who immigrated to Canada in 1994.
The Roubaix gang surfaced to the front line when its members robbed armored cars, on 01/27/1996, near Lille, and attempted a car-bomb attack on a G-7 jobs summit in the city of Lille, scheduled to 03/28/1996.
Most of the Roubaix gang members, including Christopher Caze, were killed in shootouts with police, on 03/29/1996, after a killing of a motorist who resisted an effort to hijack his car. Lionel Dumont fled to Bosnia.
Although Roubaix gang was actually dismantled in 03/1996, its former members who survived at large or immigrate to other countries and those who were linked to Roubaix gang were involved in international Islamic terror such as the LOS ANGELES MILLENNIUM PLOT, on 2000 eve, using their expertise as veterans from Afghanistan and Bosnia and as gang members.
