Nouredine Merabet
 Nouredine Merabet was born in 1975 in Algeria and lived in Paris suburbs. He is the son of Fatna Merabet and the pharmacist Mourad Merabet, who were arrested on 01/06/2004 on suspicion of being associated to the Lyon Cell.
In mid-2001 Nouredine Merabet and other Islamic militants from France traveled to Pankisi Gorge, in Northeastern Georgia, where they joined other ethnic Arabs from Europe and the Middle East for helping the Chechen warlord Ruslan Gelayev rebuilt his guerilla force.
Nouredine Merabet returned to France in 03/2002 and joined the Lyon Cell that planned to use chemical poison, Ricin, against the Russian embassy in Paris. He was the contact to the members in Barcelona, Spain, led by Mohamed Tahraoui.who were arrested on 01/24/2003.
Nouredine Merabet was arrested when he returned from Barcelona, Spain on 12/21/2002 as a suspect member in the Lyon Cell.
Nouredine Merabet was described by the French court in Paris as the financier of the Lyon Cell, although the source of the money remains unclear. He was sentenced on 06/12/2006 to 10 years imprisonment for preparing chemical weapons attacks on Russian targets in France.
