– MUATH AL-KASAESBEH

Jordanian pilot First Lieutenant Muath al-Kasaesbeh, 26, was seized by I.S.I.S after his F-16 fighter jet crashed in northeast Syria on 12/24/2014, during a bombing mission against Islamic State, ISIS distributed on the web a request asking its supporters to suggest if and how Muath al-Kasaesbeh should be executed and thousands of participants suggested al kinds of creative methods how to kill the pilot in the most brutal way. Simultaneously ISIS negotiated with Jordan a prisoners swap to exchange Muath al-Kasaesbeh with Sajida al-Rishawi and other high profile Jihadists sentenced to death in Jordan.

On 01/27/2015 yet another audio message purportedly from Kenji Goto was posted, online by ISIS, threatening to kill the Jordanian pilot if Sajida al-Rishawi is not ready to be freed by sunset Thursday 01/30/2015 by clocks in Mosul, Iraq. Jordan refuses to trade without proof its pilot is alive. Many Jordanian security, army and administration officials are from the well connected Al-Kasaesbeh bedouin clan and well known for their support for the kingdom and the Hashemite rolling family.

There was no mention in the one-minute Kenji Goto’s alleged beheading video of Jordanian pilot First Lieutenant Muath al-Kasaesbeh. Jordan accepted, in principle, to a prisoner swap between Muath al-Kasaesbeh and Sajida al-Rishawi if ISIS will provide evidences the pilot is alive, but ISIS failed to do so.

On 02/03/2015 evening, ISIS distributed a 22 minutes video footage showing Muath al-Kasaesbeh calling his comrades in the Jordanian Royal Air Force – JRAF – to turn their weapon against Israel and USA allies in the region and not against fellow Muslims. After that he was put into an iron cage and burned to death in front the cameras. It was impossible to determine when the footage was filmed but it is believed it happened at list over a week earlier . Jordanian intelligence sources said Muath al-Kasaesbeh was executed already on 01/03/2015.

The next morning, 02/04/2015, Sajida al-Rishawi and another militant, Ziad al-Karbouly, were executed by hanging in Jordan.
