– ISLAMIC STATE’S EXECUTIONS – MUATH AL-KASAESBEH

The Islamic State I.S.I.S distributed on Twitter late Saturday, 01/31/2015 evening, a footage of the execution by beheading of the Japanese hostage Kenji Goto Jogo, the minute-long video shows “Jihadi John” threaten Japanese President Abe with further violence. “Let the nightmare for Japan begin,” “Jihadi John” warned. Journalist Kenji Goto Jogo, married and a father of 2 daughters, was seized by ISIS 0n 10/23/2014 when he headed to the extremist group’s self-proclaimed capital of Raqqa, Syria, and went missing.

A fellow Japanese hostage  Haruna Yukawa, 42, a troubled self-styled security contractor entered Syria from Turkey by land on 07/28/2014. Haruna Yukawa was captured in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo by ISIS three weeks later, on 08/14/2014. Over the past decade, he had lost his wife to lung cancer, lost a business and his house to bankruptcy and been forced to live in a public park for almost a month,

On 01/17/2015, before heading to Israel in an official visit, in a speech in Cairo, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe pledges $200 million in nonmilitary aid to countries in the region “contending” with the Islamic State group.

On 01/20/2015, at the end of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s visit to Israel, I.S.I.S threatened in a video to kill the two Japanese hostages unless a $200 million ransom is paid. The government determines the two are Yukawa and Goto.

A video of Kenji Goto holding a photo purportedly of a beheaded Haruna Yukawa was released, on 01/24/2015,  with an audio message that withdraws the ransom but demands instead that the Jordanian government release a woman, Sajida al-Rishawi put on death row for an attempted suicide bombing.

A new online photo of a man emerged, on 01/27/2015, accompanied by an audio message from someone claiming to be Kenji Goto. The message says he has “24 hours left to live” and again calls for the female convict, Sajida al-Rishawi, to be released in exchange for Goto’s life.

 

Another audio message purportedly from Kenji Goto was posted later the same day  online by ISIS, threatening to kill the Jordanian pilot First Lieutenant Muath al-Kasaesbeh.

 

There was no mention in the one-minute Kenji Goto’s alleged beheading video  of Jordanian pilot First Lieutenant Muath al-Kasaesbeh. Jordan accepted, in principle, to a prisoner swap between Muath al-Kasaesbeh and Sajida al-Rishawi if ISIS will provide evidences the pilot is alive, but ISIS failed to do so.

A statement attributed to ISIS claimed, on 02/06/2015, an American female hostage,  Kayla Jean Mueller,  a 27 years old aid worker from Prescott, Arizona, was killed in a Jordanian retaliation airstrike on Friday on the outskirts of the northern Syrian city of Raqqa, the extremist group’s main stronghold.The White House said it could not confirm the reports. But the White House announced, on 02/10/2015, Kayla Jean Mueller was. indeed, killed without elaborating any further details.
