AL QAEDA ATTACKED SECURITY FACILITIES
IN YEMEN
Eyewitnesses said, ON Wednesday 07/14/2010, gunmen attacked two offices of the Yemeni Intelligence Agency in the Abyan province, in the coastal town of Zinjibar, in southern Yemen. Reports indicated the occurrence of violent clashes between the security forces and the attackers (see also – Abyan-Operation).
Yemeni security sources said that AQAP -Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula was behind the coordinated attacks. Eyewitnesses said they saw at least five bodies in the street near the scene of one of the attacks in southern Yemen. There were no official statements on the casualties.
