– DR. KHALED NAZEM DIAB
– Dr. Khaled Nazem Diab was born in 1968 in Dahaysha refugee camp, near Beit- Lehem in nowadays the Palestinian Authority. He is an USA citizen and physician and was an employee of the Al-Najda , which was shut down in the United States after The 9/11. The Al-Najda was founded by Rabih Haddad and was an extension of the ‘Global Relief Foundation’ (GRF) in Chicago, US.
Dr. Khaled Nazem Diab was arrested on 11/14/2002 as he entered Israel from the Gulf state of Qatar, where he had been working for Islamic Charities. According to Israeli officials Khaled Nazem Diab had also lived in Afghanistan and had close relations with sympathizers of the Taliban regime there. Prior to his arrest Khaled Nazem Diab had spent time in the West Bank doing humanitarian relief work for the International Red Cross, was living in Qatar and with ties to the Hamas in the Palestinian West Bank.
On 12/04/2002, after Israel accused Dr. Khaled Nazem Diab of being a suspected member of Al Qaeda, the US State Department announced that it “has no information which suggests that Dr. Diab was connected to any terror group”. The next day, the State Department retracted this statement and deleted it from its archives.
Eventually Dr. Khaled Nazem Diab was never charged for terror related offences.
