On Monday 04/14/2008 the Indonesian police published the arrest in Malaysia, in late 03/2008 of Abdul Rohim, who also uses the name Abu Husna, and a man identified only as Agus probably a known INDONESIAN JI fugitive Agus Purwanto.
Abdul Rohim was a member of the Central leading committee known as the ‘markaziah’ – in Arabic Center and is believed to have replaced Zarkasih. His arrest could led to information about the whereabouts of Noordin Mohammed Top the most wanted Indonesian terrorist.
Agus was linked to Abu Dujana and participated in attacks in Sulawesi and Java. Assuming that Agus is indeed Agus Purwanto he graduated the famous Islamic Al-Mukmin boarding school in Ngruki, Central Java, run by the controversial cleric, Abu Bakar Bashir.
The two detainees, Abu Husna and Agus Purwanto, were heading to Iraq via Syria. They carried a laptop that had a detailed funding proposal in both Indonesian and Arabic to be presented to Al Qaeda.
