* Abdul Rahman Ayub and his twin brother Abdul Rahim Ayub were born in Indonesia in the early 60s’.
In the early 80s’ Abdul Rahman & Rahim Ayub went to fight in Afghanistan where they met Hambali and kept in contact with him for years to come. Eventually, in the early 90s’, Abdul Rahman & Rahim Ayub became INDONESIAN JI operatives under Hambali’s direct command.
After fighting in Afghanistan, in the early 80s’, both Abdul Rahman & Rahim Ayub immigrated to Australia.
In 1984 Abdul Rahim Ayub married an Australian wife, Rabiah Hutchison, and became an Australian citizen. Abdul Rahman & Rahim Ayub lived, at first, in Sydney then they moved to Perth, where Abdul Rahim Ayub lived with his Australian wife and taught at an Islamic school in Thornlie, a suburb of Perth. In Perth Abdul Rahman & Rahim Ayub got also acquainted to Jack Roche.
In 1999 Abdul Rahman Ayub was deported from Australia back to Indonesia after his application for refugee status was denied while his brother, Abdul Rahim Ayub, already an Australian citizen, remained in Perth.
In 06/2000 a quarrel breached out between Jack Roche and Abdul Rahim Ayub who would be in charge on the operations in Australia and lead a plot against Israeli embassy in Canberra. Eventually, according to intelligence sources, Abu Bakar Bashir personally ordered, at the end of 2001, to cancel further terror related activity in Australia. It is most likely that the main reason to the cancellation was The 9/11 and the anti terror drastic measures taken by the Australian authority.
Abdul Rahim Ayub left Australia 3 days after the Bali ‘02 Bombings, on 10/15/2002.
Abdul Rahman Ayub and his twin brother, Abdul Rahim Ayub, were located in the end of 2005 at an Abu Sayyaf training camp in Mindanao, in the Southern Philippines, where they joined another senior Jamaa Islamiya operative – Umar Patek.
Two sons of Abdul Rahim Ayub, Mohammed Ayub and Abdullah Ayub, were arrested in Yemen for terror charges on 10/17/2006.
