* Amanta Nagayeva, an ethnic Chechen, was born in 1977 in the village of Kirov-Yurt in Chechnya’s Vedensky region. She was single and the younger sister of Roza Nagayeva.
Amanta Nagayeva’s brother, Uvais, born in 1969, was killed by Russian troops in 05/2001. Amanta Nagayeva lived in an apartment in Grozny, Chechnya’s war-shattered capital, with her sister Roza Nagayeva, Mariyam Taburova and Satsita Dzhebirkhanova, a 37 years divorcee. Satsita Dzhebirkhanova’s brother was an Islamic court judge in Aslan Maskhadov regime and was assassinated in 1998 by rival Chechens. Amanta Nagayeva was last seen with her roommate, Satsita Dzhebirkhanova, leaving by bus from the town of Khasavyurt in the neighboring province of Dagestan. From Dagestan they took, on 08/24/2004, a flight to Moscow.
When they arrived to Moscow Amanta Nagayeva aroused the suspicions of a local policeman and were approached by police captain Mikhail Artamonov, who confiscated their tickets but did not report to his superiors. Mikhail Artamonov claimed later in his investigation that since the passports of the two women were correct he had no reason to hold them.
Amanta Nagayeva and Satsita Dzhebirkhanova , the Black Widows , managed to bribe two Domodedovo Airport officials and to board two planes.
On 08/24/2004 Amanta Nagayeva boarded the Volga-Avia Express Flight 1303 to Volgograd with a small bomb and blew herself up at about 22:53 killing herself and 44 passengers and crew members in the Double Airliner Explosions.
