– THE WOOTON MARCH
There is a well established connection between Radical Imams and preachers, who advocate Global Jihad and the willingness of many young Muslims to join the Jihad. In many cases there is a direct link between Jihadists and their Radical Jihadi mentor.
The connection was established in the cases of Omar Abdel Rahman and the Al Farook Mosque in 1993, in the case of Abu Hamza al-Masri and the Finsbury Park Mosque in Londonstan, in the case of Abu Izzadeen, recently in the case of Anwar al-Awlaki in Yemen and in dozens of other cases in the Muslim World and the Western Democracies as well.
Anjem Choudary, one of the founders of the now illegal organization Al-Muhajiroun, along with Omar Bakri Muhammad and associate of Abu Qatada, in no exception. The two Mike’s Place suicide bombers in Tel Aviv or Waheed Mahmood, the ringleader of the Fertilizer 04 Plot and others affiliated to Islamic terror had links to Al-Muhajiroun.
While over 400 British soldiers were already killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, allegedly fighting terror and defending UK’s democracy, the United Kingdom is harvesting Islamic radicalization in its own homeland under the banner of “Democracy”. Umar Abdulmutallab, the Flight-253 plotter was, most likely, radicalized in London and not in Yemen.
After Al-Muhajiroun was outlawed, on 10/10/2005 (see – Banned in U.K), Anjem Choudary formed a new organization – Islam4UK. Anjem Choudary is advocating the formation of an Islamic state in UK run under Shariaa law. Therefore it is fair to claim he does not believe in Democracy but use democracy as an advantage and leverage to undermine it.
Recently Anjem Choudary angered the British public and made headlines, when he, in an open letter, called the British soldiers killed in action “cowards” and “brutal murderers” of innocent civilians and added that it is an “obligation upon Muslims everywhere to support the Jihad against those who fight Muslims anywhere in the world or who occupy Muslim land”.
Anjem Choudary also enounced his plan to march with his supporters through Wootton Bassett in southwest England, which regularly sees hundreds gather in its streets as the bodies of British soldiers killed in Afghanistan parade through in hearses. The town, which is close to the Royal Air Force base where soldiers’ bodies are repatriated, has become a powerful symbol of Britain’s war effort.
The Muslim4UK march is expected to be held in the coming weeks and will feature symbolic coffins to honor Muslim civilians killed in the conflict. Of course the plan outrages the British public although they are deeply divided over the war in Afghanistan. Almost all senior politicians in UK promised to use all means within British law to prevent the march from taking place.
* In yet another development, Anjem Choudary’s organization – Islam4UK, actually a continuation of Al-Muhajiroun, banned in UK on 10/13/2004, was banned too by the British authorities, on Tuesday 01/12/2010 (see – Luton 01.11.10 ).
