* Abderraouf Jdey, a TUnisian citizen, was born in Tunisia on 05/30/1965.
Abderraouf Jdey moved to Canada in 1991. He studied biology at the Montreal University. In 1995 Abderraouf Jdey received a Canadian Passport. He also got acquainted and was influenced by a fellow TUnisian and a Canadian citizen – Faker Boussora.
In the late 90’, probably 1999, Abderraouf Jdey traveled to Afghanistan and trained with some of The 9/11 hijackers. He was designated for a “second wave” of suicide attacks on commercial airliners. Abderraouf Jdey got the underground name of Al Rauf Bin Al Habib Bin Yousef Al-Jiddi.
In 01/2002, after operation Absolute Justice in Afghanistan, American agents found in the remains of Mohammed Atef ‘s house in Kabul a video footage in which 4 people committed themselves to carry out suicide attacks (see – Atef’s Footages). One, Ramzi Binalshibh , was already known to the USA intelligence. Abderraouf Jdey although not yet clearly identified, was one of the other three alongside Khalid al-Juhani and Faker Boussora.
On 05/26/2004 the FBI issued the Summer 2004 Alert that Abderraouf Jdey was one of seven Al Qaeda members who were planning terrorist actions for the summer or fall of 2004 alongside other notorious terrorists such as Adam Yahiye Gadahn, Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani, Adnan El Shukrijumah and Fazul Abdullah Mohammed. The source of this allegation was false information deliberately distributed by Khalid Shaik Mohammed and others, through their interrogation in Guantanamo, to cause panic in USA.
The U.S. State Department Rewards for Justice Program has offered, in 04/2005, a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to the capture of Abderraouf Jdey.
Today (03/2008) Abderraouf Jdey deeds or whereabouts is unknown.
* Note – The Canadian intelligence believes that Abderraouf Jdey was on the board of flight 586 on 11/12/2001 that crashed in Belle Harbor neighborhood of Queens, New York, shortly after takeoff from John F. Kennedy International Airport to the Dominican Republic and perished with all 268 other passengers and crew. There is nothing to confirm the claim.
