* BRITISH INTERFERENCE –

The president of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai, blamed UK, on Saturday 09/06/2008, for the resurgence of the Taliban and its growing activity in large tracts of the country. See – British interference

* OPIUM’S KINGDOM –

Since Hamid Karzai came to power in early 2002, with drug barons in the Afghan government, the opium production almost tripled and is estimated as 8,200 tonnes in 2007, accounting for 93% of global production. See – Opiums kingdom

* AFGHANISTAN’S OPIUM –

After half a year of commanding the 7,000 British troops in Helmand province, in South Afghanistan, Brigadier Andrew MacKay returned to UK. Brigadier Andrew MacKay commanded also the recapture of Mussa Qala on 12/10/2007 which changed the balance in Helmand province for the better from the NATO-ISAF point of view.
